Conversely, for discharges, we handle room turnover, finalize charts, cancel visitation codes, and coordinate follow-up appointments with Riley physicians. Additionally, we provide essential support for various procedures, setting up for eye exams and circumcisions. We also conduct all hearing screens and manage logistical tasks, such as transporting samples to the lab and retrieving supplies from sterile processing. Our responsibilities extend to daily quality control checks on the Novastat and ensuring newborn screens are submitted promptly.
