Job Description

• Work collaboratively with intra- and interdepartmental staff to assess, diagnose, and treat patients using nationally recognized treatment guidelines.
• Conduct medical examinations and complete evaluations, reports, and documentation using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to support clinical decision-making.
• Prescribe, manage, and monitor medications as appropriate.
• Complete reclassifications, medical reviews, and other assessments as required.
• Make referrals for specialized care or additional treatment when clinically indicated.
• Perform all duties within the appropriate scope of practice and in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, protocols, and American Correctional Association (ACA) standards.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, including peer review activities.
• Engage in collaborative agreements as required.
• Manage a patient caseload of up to 2.5 patients per hour.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Ohio medical license.
