Physician (Part-time)

Join our team as a Physician in Massillon, OH, where you will provide essential medical care in state facilities. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week and the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient health.

Job Description

• Perform routine and emergency medical care of non-specialized nature to patients or inmates, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment.
• Monitor patient progress, inoculate or vaccinate against communicable diseases, prescribe medication, and administer treatment for acute and chronically ill patients.
• Conduct routine physical examinations for claims purposes or to determine suitability for employment.
• Attend professional meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings to participate in the development of total quality care plans.
• Consult with other physicians to determine the need for specialized care or treatment.
• Act as a consultant to other professionals, including social workers and psychologists.
• Instruct nursing, technical, and para-professional staff.
• Write medical evaluations and reports, including admission, discharge, and death summaries.
• Interpret and analyze laboratory reports and findings, maintaining written accounts of patient progress.

Requirements

• Active Physician license for the state of Ohio
• Active BLS/CPR Certificate
