Nephrologist (On-call)

Join our team as a Nephrologist at Nellis AFB, NV, where you will have the opportunity to provide care in a dynamic environment. This position is on-call and offers a pathway to permanent employment.

Job Description

• Must have been employed in the practice of Nephrology or in an accredited training program for 24 of the last 36 months.
• Must have experience working in inpatient and outpatient nephrology, including management of patients undergoing chronic dialysis.
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) required, with graduation from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
• Awarded degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) with completion of ABIM recognized internal medicine residency acceptable to the Defense Health Agency, as verified by submission of certificate to MOMMC Credentials Office.
• Completion of an additional fellowship program in nephrology, which is acceptable to the Defense Health Agency.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. The healthcare worker shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) (Course C) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). BLS/ACLS certifications must be through the American Heart Association or a Red Cross-approved training program.
• Current board certification or board eligible in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
• The provider shall have and maintain a valid unrestricted license in the state of Nevada.
