    Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric/Mental Health

    Join our team as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) Psychiatric/Mental Health in Orient, OH. This position offers a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week, with core hours typically from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays only, allowing for a work-life balance without nights, weekends, or holidays.

    Job Description

    • Provide direct psychiatric/mental health care in-person or via telehealth as needed.
    • Conduct mental health and psychopharmacological assessments, formulate diagnoses, and provide psychotropic medication management.
    • Perform mental health evaluations to determine appropriate treatment and medication.
    • Prescribe medications and order, interpret, and analyze laboratory tests.
    • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated care.
    • Document all clinical encounters and medication management accurately in accordance with policies.
    • Participate in treatment planning and treatment team meetings for assigned patients.
    • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to registered nurses and other mental health staff on medication management and clinical issues.
    • Receive regular clinical supervision from a collaborating physician.
    • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and maintain clinical competency.

    Requirements

    • Master's degree in Nursing or related field
    • Valid state APRN license
    • Board certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (ANCC or equivalent)
    • DEA registration (if prescribing controlled substances)
    • Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification
    • Ability to pass TB and drug screenings as required

    Duration

    Approximately 3 months (may be extended based on need and mutual fit).
