Job Description

• Evaluates, examines, analyzes, diagnoses, and treats consumers, prescribes medication, and performs in-depth psychotherapy and counseling (e.g., psychoanalysis, behavior modification).
• Monitors and coordinates professional and paraprofessional medical, nursing, and direct care staff in areas related to psychiatric care; reviews consumer records for accuracy and completeness; recommends improvements in hospital staffing and organization.
• Conducts and participates in lectures and seminars in psychiatry or related fields for professional and paraprofessional health care staff.
• Will travel to various DDOD facilities to provide services but will know in advance which facility will need coverage for planning purposes.
• Must have experience with all ages (adults/children).
