Radiologist

Join our team as a Radiologist in Columbia, SC. This position offers a full-time schedule with a focus on providing high-quality interventional radiology services in a state-of-the-art medical treatment facility.

Job Description

• Provide general and interventional radiology procedures, including diagnostic radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and interventional radiography (IR).
• Ensure timely communication of test results to patients and referring providers.
• Offer consultations and instructions to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for radiologic procedures.
• Conduct daily reviews of consults/orders and next-day patient cases for a minimum of two hours.
• Provide post-procedure evaluations and follow-ups, including clinical consultations regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings as required by the facility leadership.
• Attend staff meetings and perform ongoing peer reviews for approximately four hours per month.
• Complete quality management and performance improvement documentation related to all procedures, complications, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow established medication policies and procedures.
• Must ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards of care.

Hours of Operation/Scheduling

• Business hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM on weekdays and weekends.
• Contractor's physician(s) must be available for phone consultations and on-site within specified timeframes during on-call hours.
