General Surgeon

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. The role includes outpatient clinic duties, surgical procedures, discharge planning, and compliance with VA policies and patient safety standards.

Job Description

• Provide timely general surgery care and follow-up
• Attend scheduled clinics and OR sessions
• Communicate test results per VHA Directive 1088
• Ensure compliance with medication and discharge protocols
• Report and document patient safety incidents within 24 hours

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
• Board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Surgery
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Valid NPI, DEA, and OIG clearance
• Proficiency in English and adherence to VA medical staff bylaws
• Documentation of education, training, and experience
