This is a Full-time position working M, T, Th, F and as needed on Saturdays. Will be required to work until 7pm on a rotation. The Clinic Triage Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting providers to provide quality patient care. This position performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and facilitates the patient's access to the appropriate level of care by assessing the patient's needs over the telephone. Demonstrate ability to recognize and assess emergency and non-emergency needs of patient. Assist provider with clerical/clinical functions for patients requiring chronic disease coordination. Act as a patient advocate by assisting with the resolution of problems, communication of patient needs and concerns to the appropriate resources. Initiate written, and verbal follow up communication for each encounter. As directed by provider, order medications for patient, and complete medication prior authorizations. Promote wellness and informed decisions by providing health information and prevention concepts. Report results and pertinent information to patients and health care team members. Instruct patients of preparations for tests. Manage patient referral loop. Adjust INR per protocol. Assist provider with procedures and rooming nurse when need arises including giving medications and injections/immunizations. Performs other duties as assigned.
