- Provide care for the critically ill patient population while covering the ICU departments
- Improve outcomes, including lower mortality and shorter lengths of stay
- Coordinate all the specialty care that patients may need
- Effectively communicate to patients and families throughout the entire process/procedure including preparation and post
- Maintain comprehensive records of patient care and procedures

**Requirements**

- Graduated from an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy school
- Board Certified in Pulmonology required
- Board Certified in Critical Care required
- Familiar with standard concepts and critical care procedures
- Experienced Intensivist with 2 or more years of experience preferred
- New pulmonology/critical care fellowship candidates highly welcomed to apply

**About Us**

Wayne UNC is a modern facility with 316 acute care beds, a 125-year history, a 16-bed closed ICU, 38 emergency beds, 4 trauma beds, 4 behavioral health beds, an 8-bed labor and delivery unit, a 26-bed nursery, and a 22-bed behavioral health unit. Our EMR system is Epic. The schedule is from 7 am to 7 pm, with nighttime coverage provided by a vICU provider.
