    Adult Psychiatrist - PRN

    Sierra Tucson is seeking an experienced PRN - Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our hospital-based psychiatric team. This physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult inpatients, including diagnostic evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and treatment planning in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
    • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
    • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
    • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
    • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
    • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
    • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

    Requirements

    • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
    • One or more years' post-graduate degree practice preferred.
    • Licensed in the state in which the facility operates.
    • Board certification in psychiatry.
    • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.

    Compensation

    • $200 per hour
