Hospitalist

We invite a skilled Hospitalist to join 4 peers on the inpatient medical staff of an independent 25-bed critical access hospital. This community medical center provides primary and specialty care to more than 30,000 residents around this scenic riverside community in central Maine, 1 hour from Bangor and 90 minutes from Portland. Join over 40 physicians (and 700+ employees) delivering progressive health and medical services in beautiful, state-of-the-art facilities. Doctors requiring J1 or H1B sponsorship are encouraged to apply. We welcome physicians trained in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, MD or DO. This is an equal opportunity employer.

You will have a convenient schedule with 7 days on, 7 days off, then 7 nights on, 7 days off. Shifts run from 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am. You will handle admissions and discharges and cover a 4-bed open ICU. You do not have to do any specific procedures, though you will be responsible for vent management, and ACLS is required.
