Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
A respected 190-bed regional medical center in Augusta, Maine, invites a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join an innovative, interdisciplinary program dedicated to providing a full range of behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families. This hospital-employed position is based on the hospital's main campus in Augusta, just 50 minutes from Portland and the coast.
Join a well-established pediatric behavioral health team that includes child psychiatrists, a developmental and behavioral pediatrician, clinical social workers, and occupational, physical, and speech therapists. This collaborative group provides comprehensive therapeutic interventions for a wide range of childhood speech, motor, emotional, and behavioral challenges. You will provide a full scope of child and adolescent psychiatry services including assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and counseling and education for patients and their families. Collaboration is central to this role as you work with other providers and staff, participate in patient care meetings and rounds, and maintain working relationships across the pediatric department. This position includes opportunities to participate in integrated care through partnerships with community primary care practices. You will also have the option to work with graduate students, medical students, and residents in the onsite Family Medicine Residency.
