Job Description

• Oversee a state-of-the-art, 48-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital providing customized intensive rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from disabling diseases or injuries, such as strokes, brain, spinal cord, and orthopedic injuries.
• Collaborate with the entire clinical team to provide medical direction in accordance with facility policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission.
• Manage patients with long-term functional limitations; develop a plan of care in consultation with other specialists.
• Perform medical procedures to treat pain and improve physical functioning.
• Lead a team of medical professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, to optimize patient care.
• Monitor ongoing progress and health of patients and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide tools and guidance that allow patients to adapt and improve overall health and physical functioning.
• Counsel patients and their families on treatment options.
• Additional procedural opportunities may include botulinum toxin injections, baclofen pump management, and EMGs.

Requirements

• Proficient in managing medically complex patients and comfortable taking care of a variety of rehab-related diagnoses.
• Experience in general physical medicine and rehabilitation.
