Physician - Medical Director, Wound Care Center

This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced wound care and hyperbaric medicine team which includes 3 mid-level providers. You will be joining a comprehensive limb salvage team and will work together with infectious disease, vascular surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, and general surgery to provide an advanced team-based approach. You will see a high number of patients in an outpatient setting. You will receive training and continued support from one of the best wound care physicians in the industry. The hospital has staffed and supported our providers at this location and 5 others throughout Texas and Arkansas since 2009 while establishing a solid reputation as the premier wound centers in these areas.
Job Description
- Evaluate and treat new patients and follow-up patients for wound care services.
- Order testing and lab that is needed to evaluate the patient's wound and underlying conditions.
- Interpret all test results ordered.
- Diagnose patient health conditions related to the wound and any underlying diagnosis affecting the wound healing process using ICD-10.
- Create a Plan of Care for the patients and coordinate with the patients' healthcare team.
- Communicate with the patients' PCPs and specialists as needed.
- Communicate with patients and family members regarding the patients' treatment plans.
- Provide referrals to other healthcare providers as needed.
- Supervise Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments.
- Perform advanced modalities and procedures as patient care requires (debridement, grafts, etc.).
- Document services in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide quality care while complying with policies and procedures within your scope of practice.
Benefits
- Base commensurate with experience $220k-$230k plus generous production bonus model - can reach $30,000.
