Physician Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist

Join our team as a Physician Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist in Fort Myers, FL. This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on advanced heart failure patients requiring complex cardiac care.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with advanced heart failure in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Round on the inpatient advanced heart failure service and manage ambulatory heart failure patients
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate advanced cardiac care
• Refer heart transplant candidates to partnered regional centers
• Support management of mechanical circulatory support devices as part of an integrated program

Requirements

• Active Florida medical license
• Board-certified/board-eligible by the ABIM in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited heart failure fellowship; more than 5 years post-fellowship preferred
• Proficient in management of mechanical support devices, including Impella and ECMO
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Eager to work in a high-volume, multidisciplinary environment
