Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA

Join our team as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at UPMC Williamsport, PA. This full-time position involves working in both inpatient and operating room settings, providing essential care to adult patients.

Job Description

• First assist in cardiothoracic surgical cases
• Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) using Getinge equipment and Olympus camera systems
• Scrub and assist with scheduled surgical cases (12 daily)
• Cover hospital in partnership with other APPs (divide and manage patient list)
• Round and assess patients in the inpatient setting
• Participate in weekend rounds and emergency surgical coverage as needed
• Communicate and collaborate closely with cardiothoracic surgeons

Requirements

• Pennsylvania license (not required to apply)
• Board Certified NP or PA
• DEA required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR
• Minimum 1 year of experience; new grads considered depending on experience
• Must be able to scrub for CT surgery as a first assist
• Weekend-only availability considered
