Job Description

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment
• Manage a broad range of acute medical conditions and trauma cases
• Collaborate with NP/PAs and other emergency department staff
• Utilize Ochsner EPIC EMR system for documentation and order entry
• Participate in required orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift prior to starting

Patient Information

• Annual Volume: 14,500 patients
• Daily Volume: Approximately 40 patients
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Admissions Rate: 12%
• EMS Patients: 17.3%
• Emergency Department Beds: 7-10

Facility Information

• EMR System: Ochsner EPIC
• Backup Specialties: OBGYN, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Surgery
• Special Services: CT, ICU, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Physical Therapy, Ultrasound

Requirements

• BE/BC
• ATLS, ACLS, PALS
• Active LA License or IMLC
