Primary Care (Correctional Health) - NP/PA

Join our team as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a correctional health setting located in Atlanta, GA. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential health care services to inmates in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Job Description

• Serve as an Advanced Practice Nurse in a correctional facility, providing primary health care to inmates.
• Deliver comprehensive assessment and management of uncomplicated acute conditions and stable chronic health problems.
• Emphasize patient education, counseling, continuity of care, health promotion, disease prevention, and management.
• Collaborate with physicians and adhere to established clinical guidelines when making patient management decisions.
• Manage the daily operations of outpatient and inpatient departments, including conducting daily sick call.
• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, including health maintenance screenings and risk evaluations.

Requirements

• Active state license in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the US.
• Board Certified (BC).
• DEA certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least one year of experience.
