Job Description

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in a hospital-based cancer center
• Participate in shared 1:4 call rotation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cancer care team
• Engage in both inpatient and outpatient care delivery
• Participate in teaching and academic opportunities through affiliation with ACOM

Requirements

• Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
• Fellowship trained in Hematology/Oncology
• Team-oriented, able to work in a collaborative environment; PSLF eligible

• 420-bed hospital; 21 infusion rooms; dedicated inpatient oncology floors
• Level 2 trauma center
• Office equipment available: radiation therapy and infusion center onsite; certified oncology nurses; onsite fitness facility
• Specialty backup available: radiation oncology, hospitalist support, radiology, pain management, neurosurgery
• Support staff available: 3 board-certified Hem/Onc physicians, certified oncology nurses, multidisciplinary cancer team
• Reason for coverage: practice expansion
