Hospitalist NP/PA

Join our team as a Hospitalist NP/PA in Nags Head, NC. This locum tenens position offers an opportunity to work in an inpatient setting with a supportive team.

Job Description

• Provide clinical care during the coverage period from July 7-18, 2025.
• Work shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM, with specific dates of July 7-11 and July 14-18.
• Manage a patient volume of 17-21 inpatients, with 8-10 patients per APP.
• Handle admissions of 4-6 in the morning and 5-7 in the evening.
• Collaborate with 2 physicians and 4 APPs in practice.
• Access specialty back-up from General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, OBGYN, Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Primary Care, and Oncology.
• Respond to codes but not in the Emergency Department; consult on holds in the ED.
• Attend orientation the day before the first scheduled shift.

Requirements

• Active NC License
• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• DEA certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1 year of inpatient experience preferred
