Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Sports Medicine (Orthopedics)

Join our team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Sports Medicine (Orthopedics) for a locum tenens position in Canton & Woodstock, GA. This role is set in an outpatient service setting, providing clinical coverage for a period of 13 weeks.

Job Description

• Evaluate and treat patients in a busy outpatient orthopedic setting
• Manage postoperative and follow-up visits daily
• Work directly with orthopedic upper extremity specialists
• Document care and assessments per clinic protocol
• Collaborate with clinic staff to deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements

• Active Georgia NP or PA license required
• Orthopedic experience highly preferred; must be comfortable in a high-volume sports medicine clinic
• Must be comfortable working independently with orthopedic surgical patients

Compensation & Benefits

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

Patient Information

• Primarily orthopedic patients, postoperative and follow-up care
• Patient volume: patients per day
• Case mix includes upper extremity orthopedic surgery follow-ups and outpatient evaluations

• Standard outpatient orthopedic clinic equipment available
• Specialty backup from an orthopedic surgeon
• Support staff available as part of the clinic team
• Reason for coverage: locum need for Sports Medicine midlevel support
