Child Neurology

Join our team as a Child Neurologist in Anchorage, AK. This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to provide care in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth.

Job Description

• Provide supplemental coverage from August 1, 2026, to August 1, 2027
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM for 2 weeks per month
• Participate in a call schedule of 2 weeks per month, including nights and weekends with 24-hour calls
• Conduct telehealth consultations during another 2 weeks per month with 24-hour calls
• Share call responsibilities with 2 other physicians
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 10 outpatient, 1 inpatient, and 1 ICU patient
• Treat pediatric patients only
• Perform required procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Utilize onsite neurology lab and X-ray facilities
• Work in a facility with 2 exam rooms and a pediatric trauma level of II
• Use Epic EMR for patient documentation
• Hospital privileges are required

Requirements

• Active or temporary Alaska medical license
• Board certification in Child Neurology
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

Support Staff

• Collaborate with 14 RNs and 10 PA/NPs in practice
• Work alongside 14 physicians and 10 mid-levels in practice
