Join our team as a Physician in Rheumatology for a locum tenens position in Hanover, PA. This role is set in an outpatient clinic with limited hospital consults, providing an excellent opportunity for supplemental support.

Job Description

• Coverage type includes clinical responsibilities and APP supervision.
• Coverage period starts January 2, 2026, with ongoing clinical shifts scheduled Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Coverage details include 20 shifts per month, which can be split between 2 providers (10 each).
• Patient demographics consist of adults only, with an outpatient volume of 12-16 patients per day (36 patient-facing hours/week).
• Hospital consults are approximately 0-5 per month, conducted via phone during office hours.
• Case mix includes conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus, scleroderma, Sjögren's syndrome, gout, osteoporosis, vasculitis, myopathies, giant cell arteritis, temporal arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, sarcoidosis, reactive arthritis, Raynaud's phenomenon, Wegener's granulomatosis, and polyarteritis nodosa.
• Procedures include joint injections.

Requirements

• Hospital privileges are required.
• Credentialing timeline is approximately 90 days.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license is required (IMLC accepted).
• DEA certification is required.
• BLS certification is necessary.
• Board status must be BC/BE in Rheumatology.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
• Travel expenses for mileage, airfare, lodging, and rental car will be covered.
