Psychiatrist

Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services at an outpatient facility in the Oroville/Chico Area, California. The psychiatrist will conduct on-site psychiatric evaluations and provide direct psychiatric care and treatment for patients with complex and difficult disorders necessitating behavioral health clinical intervention.

Job Description

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medication management and psychotherapy as needed.
• Perform crisis intervention, including prescribing and administering emergency medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support services.
• Evaluate patients for voluntary/involuntary commitment and complete required documentation.
• Maintain detailed and compliant medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Support continuity of care for patients engaged in day treatment and substance use programs.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active CA license
• BC/BE
• DEA License
• Valid US driver's license upon date of application. Must obtain California driver's license following hire date per California DMV regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of psychiatric treatment protocols and community mental health systems.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Interest or experience in clinical teaching, program development, and resident supervision.
