    Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

    We have an opportunity for an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland at Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. This is a full-time position.

    Job Description

    • Our hospitalist team provides inpatient care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge.
    • Flexible block schedule
    • EMR: EPIC
    • Shift time: typically 12p - 10p
    • Average admits and consults per shift: 6-8
    • Cross coverage: Yes, additional provider support except for 6-8p
    • Physician supervision and support: Yes, remotely between 6-8p
    • ICU: Managed by the Intensivist
    • Procedures/vents: None
    • Run codes: No
    • Must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine with an active Maryland license, BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CDS License.
