Job Description

• Oversee wound care treatments in a nursing home environment.
• Collaborate with a supportive team where Physicians supervise Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners.
• Immerse yourself in wound care education, as experience is appreciated but not mandatory.

Requirements

• Comprehensive training provided; it takes about a month to learn the basics, three months to start feeling comfortable, and one year to become a wound care expert.
• Enjoy full-time work from Monday to Friday, with absolutely no night shifts or weekend commitments.
• Manage patients' wound care by visiting assigned facilities weekly, averaging 2-4 facilities and 18-25 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to factors that increase the risk of wound formation.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate wound dressings.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.
• Educate nursing staff and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required.
