CVICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Our Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment caring for patients after advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

• Block schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, day shifts only (6 AM - 6 PM) for excellent work-life balance.
• Manage post-operative cardiac patients including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, and Mechanical Circulatory Support (ECMO/Impella).
• Perform assessments, order/interpreting diagnostics, and develop treatment plans for critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Procedures may include central line placement, arterial line placement, intubation, dialysis line placement, and other bedside interventions (as credentialed).
• Supportive environment with opportunities for growth in advanced cardiac critical care.

Requirements

• Master's Degree as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Current Florida license (or ability to obtain).
• National board certification (ACNP preferred for NPs).
• Minimum 1-2 years of CVICU, cardiothoracic, or critical care APP experience preferred (strong ICU background considered).
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
