    Gastroenterologist Hospitalist

    AdventHealth Medical Group in collaboration with AdventHealth Fish Memorial and AdventHealth DeLand are seeking Gastroenterologist Hospitalists to be part of our team. Located in Orange City, Florida, just 40 minutes north of Orlando and less than one hour from the beach, this position offers a unique opportunity in a vibrant community.

    Job Description

    • Starting salary at $700,000 plus signing bonus and relocation; no state income tax
    • The GI Hospitalist would cover AdventHealth Fish Memorial or DeLand as we have an opening at either location
    • Physician will cover inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department
    • Easy access to endoscopy suite for procedures; should be comfortable with all aspects of Gastroenterology
    • Capability for ERCP and EUS
    • Our network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease
    • Medical oncology, radiation, and surgical support all available within the market and on site
    • 7 on/7 off schedule; 182 shifts/year

    Requirements

    • Board certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) is required

    The practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group. This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs over 400 physicians in almost all individual service lines. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.

    Hospital Description

    The facility is a 250+ bed campus that began as Fish Memorial in 1952 in DeLand, Florida. In 1994, the hospital was renamed Volusia Medical Center and relocated to Orange City to serve the growing population of southwest Volusia County. In 1996, the Adventist Health System purchased Volusia Medical Center and in 1998 renamed the facility Florida Hospital Fish Memorial to honor the hospital's benefactor, Judge Bert Fish. In 2003, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial expanded, and in 2007 Fish Imaging opened on the hospital campus. In 2015, Deltona Health Park opened as part of our continued promise to provide quality health care to the residents of Southwest Volusia County, and Fish Imaging relocated to Deltona Health Park. In January 2019, the hospital was renamed to AdventHealth Fish Memorial.
