    Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

    The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients (surgical). The ARNP may diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment collaboratively agreed to in the Florida Hospital Physician Group medical staff delineation of clinical privileges for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners. Depending on the practice, the ARNP may be required to work and/or be on call on weekends.

    Job Description

    • Provide services similar to those of a physician.
    • Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals, and otherwise treat health conditions.
    • See patients both in the hospital setting and practice setting.
    • Depending on surgical specialty, may work with assigned physician(s) in endoscopy or OR.
    • Assist with in-office procedures with physician and/or may perform minor procedures independently.
    • Provide direct care with licensing credentials under the auspices of supervising MD.

    Requirements

    • MSN (Master's of Nursing)
    • One or more years of experience
    • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Licensure, Certification or Registration Required

    • Licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida.
    • Advanced Registered Nurse Certification
    • Continuing education required to maintain licensure.
