Oncology - Radiation Physician

Radiation Oncology Locum Position Available

Join our team for a Radiation Oncology locum position starting in mid-June. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, with an average of 4 consults and 1 inpatient per day.

Job Description

• Average treatments per day: 38
• 75% IMRT
• Average SBRT per day: 1.6
• Average HDR per day: 0.11

Call Schedule

• Weeknight call: 4 PM - 10 PM
• 24-hour weekend call: 8 AM - 8 AM
• 12-hour weekend call: 8 AM - 8 PM

Additional Information

• During weeknight call, issues can typically be handled over the phone, and if needed, a patient could be brought to the cancer center the following morning for consultation. The inpatients are at a nearby medical center, while our cancer center is an outpatient facility about 4 miles away.
• Calls usually involve side effects or medication questions, averaging about 1 consult per week and possibly 1 over the weekend. There may be hospital consults on weekdays, with the on-call physician going to the hospital to see the patient at the end of the day.
