    Locum Tenens Psychiatrist (Adult & Child/Adolescent)

    A well-established, multidisciplinary behavioral health clinic in the Jacksonville, FL area is seeking a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist to provide part-time outpatient services. The clinic offers comprehensive, evidence-based mental health care to both children and adults through a team approach that includes therapy, case management, and medication management.     Job Description

    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and prescribe/monitor medications for adult and pediatric populations.
    • Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, and other clinical team members to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
    • Document all clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Medicaid and clinic standards.
    • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and external providers to coordinate treatment and support continuity of care.
    • Participate in team meetings, treatment planning, and case reviews as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with all Medicaid documentation and billing requirements.

    Requirements

    • MD or DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
    • Active, unrestricted Florida medical license.
    • Current Florida Medicaid provider enrollment (required).
    • Experience treating both adults and children/adolescents in an outpatient setting.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Availability for an ongoing 2-3 days-per-week schedule.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience working in community or multidisciplinary behavioral health environments.
    • Familiarity with integrated care and psychosocial rehabilitation models.
    • Comfort managing complex cases with comorbid conditions.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting.
