    Physical Therapist

    Join our team as a Physical Therapist at Hitchcock Inpatient Rehab at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, which is consistently among the top performers in the CSRA, UHS facilities, and the country. Through strong interdisciplinary communication and cooperation, the Physical Therapist will assist in the progression of mobility-related tasks to facilitate a comprehensive return to function for a variety of patients.

    Additionally, Aiken Regional provides comprehensive healthcare services such as behavioral health (Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health), emergency medical care (main hospital and ER at Sweetwater), orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation services (Hitchcock Rehabilitation Services), imaging, and wound care.

    Job Description

    • Provide Physical Therapy services (evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment, delegation of treatment, family training, and discharge planning) to patients in a hospital-based inpatient rehab setting in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy.
    • Meet documentation standards accurately, timely, and appropriately.
    • Enjoy almost exclusively 1-on-1 treatments in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where the primary focus is on patient improvement.
    • Work closely with other staff including Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Techs, and Physicians toward seeing patients return home (which over 90% of them do).

    Requirements

    • Degree from an accredited program of Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
    • Current SC license and BLS certification.
    • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments given by the facility.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and coworkers.
    • Clinical competence and commitment to excellence.
    • Will be floating between Inpatient & Acute Care.
    • Therapist should expect to work at least 1 weekend per quarter and will be asked to schedule those dates in advance.
