Invasive Cardiologist

The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) seeks an invasive (non-interventional) cardiologist to join our growing team of four FACC cardiologists in Anchorage, Alaska. As a Level II Trauma Center, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the entire state. With over 30 specialties, we provide a full complement of acute medical and primary care services. Our unique patient population, breathtaking geography, and cohesive team make this a one-of-a-kind practice opportunity!

In this role, you will provide outpatient management and inpatient consults with exposure to advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease. A robust Hospitalist team allows for a predominately consultative inpatient practice. Complementing the practice, physicians provide telemedicine consults using our world-renowned AFHCAN and manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout the state. Contracted interventional cardiologists perform stenting procedures in our state-of-the-art Cath Lab.

Job Description

• Provide outpatient management and inpatient consults with exposure to advanced disease and challenging pathologies
• Collaborate with a robust Hospitalist team for a predominately consultative inpatient practice
• Conduct telemedicine consults and manage patients at rural outreach clinics

Requirements

• Completion of an ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology
• BE/BC in Cardiology
• Willingness to travel throughout the state 2-3 days at a time
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Culturally sensitive with a desire to serve an underserved patient population
