Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

A highly regarded surgical practice in the Reno, Nevada area is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing Orthopedic Spine team. This is a premier opportunity to work one-on-one with a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon while enjoying the lifestyle of the Reno/Tahoe region. The practice has a strong history of mentorship and is willing to train the right candidate. While background experience in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, or Spine is preferred, recent graduates with relevant clinical rotations and strong local ties will be prioritized.

Job Description

• Enjoy a surgical-heavy schedule with 3 days in the Operating Room and 2 days in the clinic per week.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide first-assist support in the OR for orthopedic spine cases (3 days/week).
• Manage clinic duties (2 days/week) including new patient consultations, post-operative follow-ups, and returning patient visits.
• Perform hands-on office procedures, including injections.
• Work closely with excellent clinical support staff and other APPs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current or eligible for Nevada Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
• Experience in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, or Spine Surgery is ideal.
• New Graduates with relevant surgical rotations and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with ties to the Reno/Tahoe area will be given highest priority.
