Physician Assistant

An orthopedic practice in Fort Myers, FL is looking to add a full-time certified Physician Assistant. The PA will work 1:1 with a fellow trained ortho spine physician to treat patients in the OR and clinic. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with some call requirements. Previous experience in orthopedics is required.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician
• Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
• Prescribe medications and therapies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and their families about healthcare management and disease prevention

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Florida State licensure
• Familiarity with standards of care in various healthcare settings
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
