The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking an anatomic pathologist with strong diagnostic skills to work in the new UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital. Ancillary studies like immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy are available in-house. Specialty expertise and interests in autopsy, renal, bone & soft tissue, GI, liver, or general surgical pathology are highly desirable. The Department of Pathology trains residents and has fellowships in surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, transfusion medicine, and clinical informatics. Opportunities for clinical and bench research are available with colleagues in Pathology and in other medical school departments, at the NCI-designated Mays Cancer Center, and at the Greehey Children's Cancer Research Center (GCCRI).

Job Description

• Work in the new UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital
• Utilize ancillary studies like immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy
• Engage in clinical and bench research opportunities
• Train residents and participate in fellowships in various pathology specialties

Requirements

• Must have an MD, DO, and/or PhD degree
• Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Possess or be qualified to obtain a current Texas medical license
• Recognized scholarly achievements including teaching and an established publication record

Benefits

• Compensation range: $216,000.00 - $345,000.00 annually
