Nuclear Medicine Radiologist
The Department of Radiology in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to join our growing department. This is a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor to Professor rank. The faculty member will provide clinical services at the UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, UT Medicine, and affiliated facilities, including Nuclear Medicine night and weekend, and ER weekend coverage as needed. Additional responsibilities include teaching medical students and supervising residents and fellows. An established record of accomplishment in education and research is desired. Candidates should be authorized users and experienced with the full range of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic studies and therapies.
Our hospital and clinics are regional referral centers for Oncology and have a partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center for trauma, organ transplantation, and other surgical and medicine subspecialties. The Nuclear Medicine section is also the site for the combined ACGME-accredited Nuclear Medicine residency program in collaboration with San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC). Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art scanners including PET/CT and SPECT/CT. Faculty members participate in and have opportunities to develop research interests within the department and in collaboration with researchers in the basic and clinical science departments throughout the campus.
Job Description
- Provide clinical services at the UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, UT Medicine, and affiliated facilities
- Cover Nuclear Medicine night and weekend, and ER weekend as needed

- Engage in education and research activities
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (dual board certification preferred)
- Texas State Medical License or ability to obtain prior to employment
Compensation Information
- Salary range: $383,000.00 - $430,000.00 annually
