Locum Tenens Dental Hygienist

We are seeking qualified Dental Hygienists for a locum tenens opportunity to provide services in Butner and Yanceyville, North Carolina. The position is full-time, with up to 40 hours per week. The work schedule will be Monday-Tuesday in Yanceyville, and Wednesday-Friday in Butner, with work hours from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. There may be some flexibility in the hours.

Job Description

• Work under the clinical supervision of the Correctional Dental Director or Designee.
• Prepare the clinic and operatory.
• Document all care and procedures.
• Take radiographs.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions.
• Perform prophylaxis and polishing.
• Sterilize equipment between patients.
• Maintain patient records.
• Cooperate with staff.
• Prepare monthly reports.

Requirements

• Current licensure in the state of North Carolina.
• Strong professional demeanor and chairside manner.
• Ability to work well in a correctional facility setting and interact with all staff positively.
