Psychiatrist

Contract physician(s) shall be responsible for providing psychiatric care, including a variety of assessments and treatments.

Job Description

• Physical assessment, psychiatric evaluations, and mental status exams
• Psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, and consultation
• Clinical supervision and general medical condition care
• Group psychotherapy, behavior therapy, and family therapy
• Treatment team meetings and discharge planning
• Referring patients to specialty care
• Completing histories and physicals, ordering prescriptions, labs, x-rays, and other pertinent tests
• Completing documentation requirements promptly as per policy
• Completion of consults from locations at the facility
• Evaluating outpatients for medication as needed
• See an average of 10-13 patients daily

Requirements

• Contracted psychiatrists shall have an active and valid DEA license
• Ability to prescribe Buprenorphine and Clozapine
