Medical Program Operations Manager

Administers all medical, psychiatric, nursing, social service, and psychological treatment provided to both forensic and civil recipients on all units of the Center.

Job Description

• Develops policies and procedures for all program areas in accordance with departmental policies, mental health code, and various accreditation and certification bodies.
• Directs the implementation of services.
• Administrative call responsibilities via phone.
• Assigns and reviews work.
• Provides guidance and training to assigned staff.
• Counsels staff regarding work performance.
• Reassigns staff to meet day-to-day operating needs.
• Establishes annual goals and objectives.
• Adjusts first level grievances.
• Effectively recommends and imposes discipline, up to and including discharge.
• Prepares and signs performance evaluations.
• Determines and recommends staffing needs.
• Serves as manager of medical program operations.
