Psychiatrist

Annashae is seeking a Full or Part-time Psychiatrist for a high-security inpatient mental health facility in Northern Illinois. Responsibilities will include documentation of reasons for medication changes, review of seclusion and restraints at least twice a month, and testifying in court regarding involuntary commitment, fitness to proceed, and other issues as required. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, meeting at least monthly with patients to review their medication, explain reasons for the choice of medications, and maintain awareness of the Department and Facility rules, policies, and procedures as required. Participation in the hospital's peer review program is also expected.

Job Description

Requirements

• Current Illinois Controlled Substance Certificate
• Current, full, and unrestricted Illinois Medical license
• Current DEA certificate
• Preferred: Forensic or Corrections experience
• Experience working with psychiatric patients
