Psychiatrist

Annashae is seeking a Full or Part-time Psychiatrist for a high-security inpatient mental health facility in Northern Illinois. Responsibilities will include documentation of reasons for medication changes, review of seclusion and restraints at least twice a month, and testifying in court regarding involuntary commitment, fitness to proceed, and other issues as required.

Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

• Meet at least monthly with patients to review their medication, explain reasons for the choice of medications, and address other issues as required
• Maintain awareness of the Department and Facility rules, policies, and procedures as required
• Participate in the hospital's peer review program

Requirements

• Current Illinois Controlled Substance Certificate
• Current, full, and unrestricted Illinois Medical license
• Current DEA certificate
• Preferred: Forensic or Corrections experience
• Experience working with psychiatric patients
