Primary Care Physician

Located about 1 hour from St. Louis, a TJC-accredited mental health facility is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide long-term medical care for adult patients. This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful physician-patient relationships in a slower-paced setting, not a typical hospitalist role.

Job Description

• Manage a low patient load, overseeing 60-80 long-term patients, typically seeing fewer than 10 per day.
• Work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team (PCPs, NPs, psychiatrists, treatment specialists).
• Focus on primary care and health maintenance for a diverse population.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree, completion of accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Missouri medical license preferred; will consider candidates completing training or needing licensing.
• Open to candidates under visa waiver requirements.
• Must be licensed to practice independently (no collaborator required).
