Family Practice Physician - Locum Tenens Opportunity

Join our team at Sea Mar Community Health Center in Vancouver, WA, where we provide care to vulnerable populations including migrants and refugees. This position offers a predictable schedule and a supportive team environment.

Job Description

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
• Patient Volume: 18 patients/day (flexible based on cancellations)
• Patient Population: Full-spectrum care (Newborns through Geriatrics)
• Start Date: Immediate upon credentialing (within 4 weeks)
• Contract Length: 3 months (with potential for extension)

Practice Environment

• Community health center serving vulnerable populations including migrants/refugees
• Onsite interpretive services available
• Outpatient ambulatory setting with walk-in/acute care services
• Support team includes:
  • Dedicated medical assistant per provider
  • Mental health therapists and dietitians
  • Onsite pediatrician
  • Administrative support staff

Clinical Requirements

• Perform comprehensive family medicine including:
  • Chronic disease management
  • Acute/walk-in care
  • Basic procedures (injections, IUD placement, minor wound care)
• Utilize Epic EMR system
• 1-week orientation (patient care begins by day 3)

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Family Practice
• Active WA medical license (required)
• Active WA DEA license
• Minimum 2 years recent face-to-face patient care
• Clean malpractice history
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinated
• BLS/ACLS (provider responsibility)
• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish/Russian)

• Covered Expenses:
  • Flights (up to $700 roundtrip)
  • Rental car ($2,000/month cap) OR mileage reimbursement
  • Lodging ($3,000/month cap)
