Emergency Medicine PA or NP

Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine PA or NP to join a collaborative, mission-driven ED serving a tribal community in southern Arizona. This position offers meaningful emergency medicine work with autonomy and purpose.

Job Description

• Independent APP practice with 24/7 onsite EM physician support
• Lower-acuity ED (10,000 visits/year)
• Strong nursing and ancillary support
• Make a real impact in a tribal/IHS health setting
• Block scheduling for work-life balance
• ED Volume: 10,000 visits/year
• APP Coverage: 1 PA/NP per 24-hour period
• Physician Coverage: 24-hour onsite EM physician
• Nursing Support: 3 RNs per shift
• Additional Support: 2 Medical Assistants per shift
• Diagnostics: X-ray, lab, and basic emergency ultrasound available
• Transfers: Established EMS transport to referral hospitals
• EHR: RPMS / IHS EHR system
• 3-4 shifts in a row
• 6-8 shifts a month
• Work shifts every other week

Requirements

• PA (NCCPA) or NP (FNP, ENP, or ACNP preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of current EM experience (rural/IHS a plus)
• Active license & DEA
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (ATLS preferred)
• Strong procedural skills and cultural sensitivity
