Physician Assistant Orthopedic-Spine

Full-time, permanent placement for a Physician Assistant needed to join a fast-growing orthopedic spine practice in Peoria, IL. In this role, the PA will be responsible for the care of patients with a variety of spinal disorders. Responsibilities will include the assessment of patients in the outpatient setting, inpatient consultation, assisting in the operating room for independent small procedures and clinic, and post-operative follow-up. The candidate will have a large role in the clinic including seeing new patients, diagnosing and beginning initial treatments, performing history and physicals to clear patients for surgery, treating chronic pain patients with medication management, and performing in-office procedures such as trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks, shoulder/knee injections, and small joint injections.

Job Description

• Standard schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
• Occasional time beyond 5:00 pm may be required based on surgery schedules
• No office hours on weekends
• On-call rotation
• Based at the main clinic in Peoria, IL with regular clinic days at the satellite office in Marion, IL (Travel provided via air)
