Physician Assistant - General Surgery

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join its Elective General Surgery team at Backus Hospital. This APP-led team plays a vital role in managing surgical inpatients, admissions, consultations, first-assisting in the OR, and performing bedside procedures across multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, colorectal, bariatrics, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgery.

Job Description

• Location: Norwich, CT
• Setting: Inpatient, General Surgery
• Schedule: Full-time (three 12-hour shifts per week)
• Call Schedule: No call

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited PA program
• Unrestricted Connecticut PA License (or eligible)
• Board Certified or eligible as a Physician Assistant
• New graduates welcome; structured onboarding provided
• Preferred: 2+ years of inpatient surgical experience
