Medical Director for Hospice

Atlantic Health System, a prominent non-profit healthcare network in New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated full-time Hospice Medical Director for an in-person position with the Atlantic Hospice Care Program. The Medical Director will provide leadership, expertise, and administrative oversight and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients and families. The Medical Director would also assume the responsibility of attending physician, as needed.

Job Description

• Provide supervision to Assistant Medical Directors
• Ensure continuous physician coverage
• Collaborate with hospice management to develop policies and standards of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Review patient eligibility and provide certification for services
• Assist in the development of individualized care plans

Requirements

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of NJ
• Board Certification in Palliative Medicine is preferred
• Completion of a Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a practicing physician
• Minimum of 5 years working in palliative care
• Certification by the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine is preferred

Compensation Information

Salary Range: $270,000 - $320,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives
