Atrium Health Neurosciences Institute-Neurology (NIN) is seeking a BE/BC Neurologist with 2-year fellowship training and clinical expertise in Epilepsy for our surgical epilepsy program. We invite BE/BC neurologists who possess an authentic compassion for patients and are team-focused to apply to join our growing practice at Atrium Health Neurology in Charlotte, NC.
The Neurology Department at Atrium Health is a network of 70+ neurology providers that supports 15 care locations across the greater Charlotte region. Atrium Health administers the largest stroke network in the Charlotte metropolitan area, which is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Our department boasts distinguished specialty care, including Level IV and Level III Specialized Epilepsy Center, NMSS Certified Comprehensive Care Center for MS, ALS, and MDA Centers of Excellence. The growing academic department brings exciting opportunities for innovative patient care, team-based care models, teaching, and research.
The position includes the opportunity to join our group of epilepsy providers and our interdisciplinary care team for the growing epilepsy surgery program, participate in research supported by our clinical research team, and faculty appointment at the Wake Forest School of Medicine.
Job Description
- Opportunity to grow an established surgical epilepsy program.
- Strong established referral network.
- Excellent clinical resources including dedicated NAEC Level four epilepsy monitoring unit, nurse navigators, and allied health.
- Close partnership with neuroradiology, neuropsychology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry.
- Access to advanced techniques such as fMRI, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, advanced EEG analysis with electrical source imaging analysis, MEG scan along with robotic-assisted sEEG electrode placement.
- Academic opportunities with faculty appointment with Wake Forest University.
- Resident and medical student teaching required.
